How Our Network Works
Begin with the referral request
Your first conversation starts with the floor you want coated and where it is located. Causedjudgment Floor Coating helps connect homeowners with independent local providers. Calls are answered Mon-Fri 9am-9pm ET. Ask who you are speaking with and whether the conversation is about a referral or a provider's project proposal. A provider needs to confirm its own appointment availability.
Prepare a short floor checklist
Before discussing a price, gather a few facts. The provider may ask about floor size, existing coatings, cracks, and oil stains. Mention damp areas even if they have dried. For a basement, explain any history of leaks or sump pump problems.
Share how you use the floor. Parking, workshop tasks, and indoor storage can raise different questions about finish and upkeep. If access is limited, describe stairs, narrow doors, or items that must move before work starts.
Ask for prices you can compare
Request a written quote with enough detail to understand each charge. Useful questions include:
- What concrete preparation is included?
- Are crack repairs and old coating removal separate charges?
- Which coating products and layers are proposed?
- What might change the price after work begins?
- Who approves added work?
Ask the provider to explain any term you do not understand. Compare the scope alongside the total. Check payment dates and cancellation terms before signing.
Put the schedule into plain terms
Ask what happens during preparation, application, and curing. If a provider gives an hour-based estimate, confirm when that clock starts and which conditions it assumes. For each planned day, ask whether you need to keep doors open, clear access, or stay off the floor.
Confirm when walking, stored items, and vehicles can return. Weather, moisture checks, or slab repairs may change those dates. Get updated instructions from the provider if conditions change.
Choose after you have answers
The decision to hire belongs to you. Causedjudgment Floor Coating does not carry out or supervise coating work. Review the independent provider's details, written scope, and terms. Keep copies of your quote and any later changes.
Request a callback to check provider availability in your ZIP code. If you prefer to write down the details first, use the estimate form to describe your floor and the work you are considering.
